Time for Celebration!

In the early 90's, we began fantasizing about the learning behavior of feedback and feedforward neural networks. There were ICNN and WCNN attended by a few hundred hardcore researchers. The buzzword “computational intelligence” was only known by a few visionaries. Today, we have come a long way… CI-based technologies are used naturally in many real-world applications. WCCI, held bi-annually, is now attended by roughly 2,000 researchers from around the world. Not only have we witnessed growth in fundamental depth through understanding the naturally-inspired problem solving, we have witnessed growth in the application breadth, such as the areas of game, computational finance and data mining, just to name a few.
