Coal-bed gas stimulation technology

This paper introduces the development status of coal-bed gas, stimulation measures and the characteristic of coal seams in China, and points out that the resource of coal-bed gas is very rich in China, but the level of exploration and development is not high enough. It is determined by the characteristics of Chinese coal seams that they are difficult to exploit; this paper analyzes three main stimulation technologies: hydraulic fracturing, displacement of multi-gas and oriented pinnate horizontal well-drilling, which can provide technical guidance for developing coal-bed gas more efficiently and reasonably.
