A bibliographical survey of acoustic emission

Abstract This paper analyses the research carried out to investigate acoustic emission as applied to inspection and non-destructive testing of structures in recent years in leading laboratories in the United States. This study is intended to provide technicians interested in applying this method to their problems with precise information regarding the techniques used at present.
