대형 디젤엔진용 후처리시스템 구조에 따른 유동 특성 연구

Heavy-duty diesel engine should be mounted with a many string of DOC/DPF to reduce SOF and PM emission. And then, in order to minimize the engine power reduction and DPF recycling decline by mounting such devices, a new catalyst layout need to design that considering the back pressure and heat insulation. In this study, internal flow characteristics of the after-treatment devices by various DOC/DPF structures are computed using STAR-CCM+ v9.04 code. Through this, we propose a new catalyst layout that are numerically compared better pressure resistance and temperature loss of emissions. As a results, a new catalyst layout were predicted by calculating the back pressure more than 4.7% and heat insulation more than 2.06%.
