With the development of the globally economic integration, economic and cultural exchanges between countries have gradually been strengthened, and the demand for languages intertranslation becomes more and more urgent. English has become one of the important skills in China, while Japan with its strong economy, the Japanese is also important for the closely economic and cultural exchanges between China and Japan. So, an intertranslation dictionary designed among the three languages in English, Chinese and Japanese has become of great importance. This software of the dictionary is developed based entirely on the SUN Java language technology to suit a variety of operating system environments. And at the same time in order to meet various needs, two entry ways have been designed, namely, the desktop access and the online access. The user can choose to install the desktop program on his computer or to browse it online. The desktop GUI (Graphical User Interface) is designed by J2SE, and the database by Microsoft Sql Server 2000. The online access is developed by JSP (Java Server Pages) technology using B/S (Browser/Server) structure with Tomcat as the web server. The functions of the dictionary include user's entry, user's inquiring, one sentence a day, adding new words and the database management.
