Error probability for maximal ratio combining on correlated Nakagami fading channels

In this paper, the error probability of maximal ratio combining (MRC) is considered for different modulation schemes on correlated Nakagami fading channels. Based on an equivalent scalar additive white Gaussian noise channel, we derive the characteristic function (CF) and the probability density function (PDF) of the signal to noise ratio for MRC reception. Using these CF and PDF results, closed form error probability expressions are obtained.
