A simulation analysis was carried out for three kinds of triple-effect absorption cycles of parallel-flow, series-flow and reverse-flow using a newly developed simulation program. The cycles investigated in this paper are similar to the alternate double-condenser coupled cycles of Grossman. The coefficient of performance, the maximum pressure and the maximum temperature of each cycle were calculated. The sensitivity analysis of UA of each component was also carried out. The results show that the parallel-flow cycle yields the highest coefficient of performance among the cycles, while the maximum pressure and temperature in the reverse-flow cycle are lower than those of other cycles.
