AHDL modelling to support top-down design of mixed-signal ASICs

With the availability of analog hardware description languages (AHDL), there are new creative ways of solving mixed-signal simulation and modelling problems. Two top-down modelling approaches for a new mixed-signal Artificial Neural Network (ANN) are presented illustrating how AHDLs are making top-down design of mixed-signal ASICs realistic. The trade-offs involved are discussed.<<ETX>>
