Developing Technology Road Maps: A Case Study for Synchophasor Deployment

A sense of urgency has been brought to energy issues around the world, including addressing the power grid infrastructure and environmental concerns. Reliable and efficient electrical grid operation is recognized internationally as the most critical for society as other infrastructures depend heavily on electricity. Energy consumption is changing due to technological, economic, and regulatory drivers. The electrical power and energy industry is in a critical phase undergoing a transition, and the initiatives we take now will affect how the grid is operated years from now.
