The Windows Foundation Classes

One of the most significant developments in version 6 of Visual J++ is the ability to use the Windows Foundation Classes (WFC) for Java. This is a powerful set of class libraries which helps you to build applications to run specifically in a Microsoft Windows environment. In addition to Windows.EXE files you can also create ActiveX controls. Visual J++ includes a powerful visual environment for creating these applications, which will look very familiar to Visual Basic programmers.
