Time Domain Coupled Analysis of Semi-submersible Tender Platform in Irregular Waves

Based on the three dimensional potential flow theory and Morison equation, the hydrodynamic characteristics of the semi-submersible tender platform is simulated by using the hydrodynamic software AQWA. Under the combined action of wind, wave and flow, semi-submersible drilling platform motion responses of semi-submersible drilling platform and dynamic response of mooring lines in three working conditions(wave approach, oblique wave and transverse wave) are calculated by time domain coupled analysis method. Simulation results show that the drilling platform meet specification requirements.
