A probabilistic fuzzy logic traffic signal control for an isolated intersection

We propose a probabilistic fuzzy logic control (PFLC) of a signalized isolated intersection. Probabilistic fuzzy is used to improve the stochastic modeling capability and uncertainty The intersection is modeled and validated using Advanced Interactive Microscopic Simulator for Urban and Non-Urban Network version 6 (AIMSUN 6). The results obtained from the PFLC implementation are compared with the conventional actuated and traditional fuzzy logic controllers. The performance in terms of average delay of vehicles, the use of PFLC results in a better performance.
