Study on key technology of mechanical system design and manufacture technology of three-axis turntable

According to design requirements, a dividing structure was applied in the mechanical design of three-axis turntable, which includes designed as inner frame, middle frame and outer frame. Angular contact ball bearings with P4 level were used in order to meet space requirement. In selecting motor, the factor of motor torque increase resulted from the three-axis coupling effect was considered and maximum toque of motor met the requirement of maximum load under maximum speed. ZL114A is selected as the material of inner frame, middle frame and outer frame, and QT700-2 as the material of shaft of frames. In manufacturing process, the heat treating of multiple artificial aging, multiple feeding with small amount of feed and intermittent machining methods are used in the machining of the A-alloy frames. In assembling, eccentric amount of bearings were kept in the same direction and bearings were preloaded according to empirical formula. According to optical autocollimation theory, light tube, 24-face prism, planar mirror and pentaprism were used to check angular error among three axes of rotation and the corresponding orthogonality errors. The test results met the design requirements.
