Clinical decision support system for managing asthma in school-age children

Asthma, a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways, is the most common chronic disorder of children, affecting as many as 10-12 % of children in USA. The purpose of this paper is to propose an integrated computerized decision support system for managing asthma in school-age children. The system is intended to cover various aspects of the patient's life, including the home environment, the school and the doctor's office, thus improving the treatment of asthma overall.
