An efficient residue to binary converter design

A description is given of a novel residue to binary converter. It converts the three moduli residue number system (RNS) representation (2/sup n/-1, 2/sup n/, 2/sup n/+1) into binary representation. The conversion process depends on simple mathematical relationships without using mixed radix or the Chinese remained theorem. These simple relationships provide simpler hardware realization for the RNS to binary conversion. >
