Primitive Variable Finite Element Solutions of Free Convection Flows in Porous Media

Zur Simulation zweidimensionaler, stationarer und instationarer, freier Konvektionsstromungen in porosen Medien, hervorgerufen durch Konzentrationsgradienten, wird eine Galerkin-Finite-Element-Methode angewendet. Fur das numerische Verfahren dienen Druck, Geschwindigkeiten und Konzentration als abhangige Variable. Eine Beschreibung der iterativen Naherungsmethode wird gegeben. Anhand der Berechnung verschiedener Testbeispiele zeigt sich die Gultigkeit und Genauigkeit des verwendeten Finite-Element-Modells.
