A New Lagrangian Model of Two-Particle Relative Turbulent Dispersion

A qualitative analysis of the stochastic two-particle dispersion model due to Durbin (J. Fluid Mech., 1980, v.100, p.2, 279 302) is given. We conclude that this model essentially contradicts the Lagrangian description. A new advanced model of two-particle relative dispersion being free from these shortcomings is proposed.
