Automatic registration of 3-D bullet marks by matching regional features

For 3Dbullet marks on data registration problem,a registration algorithm by matching regional features is proposed.After 3Ddata of bullet marks obtained through interferometer,first of all,multi-scale geometric analysis based on shearlet is adopted to remove the noise while reducing the loss of effective information;and then,the contour and texture of bullet marks is separated by an improved one-dimensional Gaussian filter.Besides,this paper partitions the texture information of 3D bullet marks,and makes the use of obvious effect of the brush strokes from texture information of the feature area for data registration.Finally,we introduce the homogeneous transformation matrix in registration process for improving the registration accuracy,compute the cross-correlation values of different data to evaluate registration effect,and complete the original 3Dbullet marks registrationaccording to the effect of texture registration.Experimental results show that the proposed registration algorithm can improve the accuracy of automatic bullet marks registration,the existing sample and automatic registration method can improve the correct rate from 90%to 98%.
