In order to achieve a harmonious robot-human interaction,the head gesture is used to control the robot.This paper proposed Adaboost((adaptive boosting) algorithm to detect lips real time,which was used as a human-robot interaction interface.By comparing the lips rectangular with a fixed rectangular,the head gestures are determined and the robot can be controlled to move up,down,left,or right.The experiment results show that the robot controlled by the head gesture moves quite well.
