Data Fusion between Satellite SAR Image and TM Image Based on Wavelet Textural Information

Data fusion on remote sensing images is one of the most important problems in current remote sensing field. This paper describes a method to extract multi scale textural information from satellite SAR image using wavelet transformation. Then data fusion between satellite SAR image and TM image is implemented based on the wavelet texture information. Experimental datum of Radarsat satellite SAR image and TM image which were obtained from south landscape in Xuzhou city were selected. To compare with fusion results, color transformation method is used in this article. The experiment results that were analyzed whether in vision or in quantity show that better fusion image with high spatial resolution and multi spectrum can be obtained by the method.
