Linear and nonlinear behavior of crystalline optical whispering gallery mode resonators

We demonstrate strong nonlinear behavior of high-Q whispering gallery mode microresonators (wgmr) made out of various crystals and devices based on them. The maximum optical Q-factor achieved at room temperature is 2*1010.
