A questionnaire was developed and distributed to over 500 students in 19 different schools. The purpose of the questionnaire was to evaluate the effectiveness of A Description of the College Board Scholastic Aptitude Test. Additional information was obtained on school practices in handling this booklet.
It was concluded that the booklet has been found to be both understandable and attractive to most of the students who participated in this study. These 17 questions which were scored were, on the average, answered correctly by about 70% of the students. Booklet comprehension was associated with scholastic aptitude. Several of the facts and concepts presented (e.g., when to guess, order of difficulty of the items) were misunderstood by the students and should be revised in later editions of the booklet.
