IN-VEHICLE INFORMATION SYSTEMS BEHAVIORAL MODEL AND DESIGN SUPPORT: FINAL REPORT

A great deal of effort went into producing both the model and the prototype software for this contract. The purpose of this final report is not to duplicate the information provided about these and other topics in previous reports. The purpose is to summarize the important aspects of this project and to finalize the model and software prototype description not covered thoroughly in previous reports. This final report of the contract will summarize the following: a description of the behavioral model; the four studies that were conducted to supplement the research needed for the model; how tasks from the literature were modeled and included in the prototype software; the prototype software and some of its main modules; recommendations for next steps; the titles and a brief summary of each of the previous reports written for this project.
