A low-complexity 2400b/s Vocoder

Vocoder is widely used because of its capability for coding speech at an extremely low bit rate.However,due to its internal characteristics,it usually has a very high requirement for storage and calculation,and this requirement would usually limit its applications under some circumstances.In order to solve the above problem,a 2.4kb/s low-complexity vocoder based on sinusioidally excited linear prediction(SELP) algorithm is proposed.By taking a series of improvements on the existing SELP vocoder,the newly-proposed vocoder can achieve significant reduction in both time and space complexity while maintains a high quality of synthesized speech.
