OPTIMUM ANALYSIS OF SPATIAL CABLE-PRESTRESSED STEEL TRUSSES AND PLAN COMPARISON (PART ONE)

Based on the computational method established in this paper for optimization of the spatial cable prestressed steel trusses, different cable prestressed spatial steel strusses are analyzed. The relations expressed as a set of curves and tables between total steel products, the maximum deflection to span ratio and the pretension of the cables, external loads of the corresponding structures are obtained upon a large amount of computations. The effects of arrangement of cables and the height to span ratio on the optimum results are also studied. These results not only reflect some important properties of the special structures, but also provide some basis for plan choosing and design of the spatial cable prestressed steel trusses.
