The proposal of the monitoring system of the annealing process in the SCADA system Promotic

In the technological processes of the metallurgy and machine industry steel annealing is one of the most important operations, that have influence on the production in the term of the efficiency, quality and costs. The temperature of the thermal processed products is the main variable which designates their quality and energy consumption. For example in the annealing of the coils, coils must be heated on the recrystallization temperature and then they must be allowed to cool in line with the technological rule that is specified for the given type of the steel. The operator for annealing cannot simply warm the coils and consequently perform cooling. lie must ensure the heating and cooling of the steel in the coils in line with a specific diagram of the thermal processing. This would not be possible if operator didn't know the atmosphere temperature and also temperatures inside the annealed coil. This paper describes the proposed monitoring system of the annealed process that was created in SCADA system Promotic. The proposed monitoring system makes it possible to monitor direct measurements of atmosphere temperature and indirect measurements (by the system of indirect measurement) of temperature field inside the coil in the form of graphs and interactive charts. Proposed monitoring system was verified with data from the real annealing plant.
