Cause-Effect Relations with Regard to Functional and Morphological Humus Characteristics in Mixed Forest Stands

The experiments are conducted in a Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] KARST.) t d ith i l d i t f il bi h . , a specific tree species with respect to changes of topsoil characteristics in typical monocultural situations. The approach includes: 1) explanation of single-tree-effects 2) enlargement to forest stand (“from-point-to-area-approach”). . North-East direction (65 traps). This anisotropy to North-East is caused by a prevailing wind direction from South-West during the period of leaf fall.
