The impact of Management Information System in educational organizations processes

The objective of this study is to discover the effectiveness of implementing Management Information Systems (MIS) at Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) in Malaysia, and also to discover the benefits and challenges of the management system that is currently being used by the institution. In establishing the framework of the final sample, various non-probability sampling method have been used. The researchers also used descriptive statistics in generating the data from the survey questionnaires. The result of this study proved that there are inherent benefits in the application of management information systems within the organisation. In general, the users of the system were satisfied with the management information systems implemented as the systems had succeeded in improving the productivity and performance of duties. The system also reduced administrative errors and aided in decision-making procedures. However, the study also shows that officials in the content management system were not entirely satisfied with the current system and its usefulness. The study recommends intensifying the awareness and training on the usefulness of the current management information systems. This can help to create an environment that is more conducive to the implementation of an advanced system that can satisfy faculty members as well as system administrators.
