Modifications morphosédimentaires historiques et récentes du domaine côtier dunkerquois (France)

Detailed study of maps and other documents reveals that the historical to recent sedimentary evolution of coastal and shallow marine sectors of the Dunkerque area (northern France) results from the parallel or antagonistic effects of natural and human factors. The general consequence consists of both a sedimentary accumulation to the West associated with an erosion to the East, and a coastward migration of coastal banks associated with a retreat of eastern shores and dunes
