Usability Testing of Voice Controlled Messaging

The voice activation of any network-based, wireless service requires testing appropriate to the environment, the application, and end-user behavior. This paper discusses a set of Usability tests performed for Voice Controlled Messaging, and focuses on measuring user performance and satisfaction. The Usability tests and procedures decouple as many variables as possible in various stages of product development to identify and isolate any issues of the interface, and effect design modifications to maximize user satisfaction. Examples of test results are described for a number of countries where network-based, wireless Voice Controlled Messaging is deployed.
