Furthermore, process training should be done on a fast time scale, to be costeffective (since real plant-time constants are 10 hours or longer) yet not exceed the instrument-monitoring capabilities or response-time limitations of the human operator. Cost of the device and ease of changing the simulator from one process to another must also be considered.
