FREQUENCY DETECTION METHOD BASED ON RECURSIVE DFT ALGORITHM

We have developed the high- speed and high precision PMU(Phasor Meas- urement Unit) by using DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and the GPS(Global Positioning System). The developed PMU enables to cal- culate the voltage and current phasors and the other state variables in electric power sys- tems from the measured instantaneous volt- age and current in real-time. In this paper, our purpose is to propose a new detection method of frequency in the power systems based on error analysis of the recursive DFT algorithm used in the PMU. This method enable s to detect frequency with fine accurate and high- speed.
