Hvor mange har diabetes mellitus i Norge

Resultater. Kjønnsog aldersjustert prevalens av kjent diabetes ble estimert til 2,3 %. Prevalensen økte sterkt med alder, for eksempel til ca. 8 % i aldersgruppen 70–79 år. For aldersgruppen ≥ 30 var prevalensen 3,4 %. Økning i prevalensen av kjent diabetes over tid ble estimert til 1,4 % per kalenderår for aldersgruppene ≥ 30 år, med stor variasjon mellom grupper. Antallet med udiagnostisert diabetes kan være nesten like stort som antallet med diagnostisert diabetes i aldersgruppen ≥ 30 år, men dette er usikkert.
