A Critical Assessment of LogP : Towards a Realistic Model of Parallel Computation

This paper critique is written under the assumption that the reader is already familiar with the primary text [2] (henceforth referred to as “the paper”), and therefore a ful l overview of the LogP model will not be presented. The critique will mainly focus on shortcomings and weaknesses o f the paper, leaving commentary on the positive contributions of the work for the end. The critique is organized as f ollows: In Section 1, I present a very brief overview of the LogP model. In Section 2, I enumerate and discuss several shortcomings of the LogP model. Section 3 closes the critique with conclusions about the paper.
