Face image pickup device, facial imaging method and program for this

Face image pickup device, comprising: a face image pickup device which picks up an image of a face of a target person; an illumination device that illuminates the face of the target person with near-infrared light with an arbitrary amount of light; marked by an eye region extraction means for extracting a region of an eye of the face image which is taken by the face image pickup device of the target person; a brightness distribution measuring device which, in the face image which is taken by the face image pickup device of the target person, measures a brightness distribution in the region extracted by the eye area extracting means; and a control device that controls the lighting device to change an amount of the near-infrared light based on the time measured by the brightness distribution measuring device brightness distribution.
