The value of x-ray examination in the diagnosis of tracheobronchial foreign bodies in infants and children.

Chest radiograms of 120 infants and children with proven foreign body aspiration in the tracheobronchial tree were studied. The X-ray findings were correlated with the bronchoscopic findings. The importance of fluoroscopic examination and recording X-ray chest films during deep inspiration and expiration for the diagnosis is discussed.
