Heat Distribution over Joints:- The Normal and Abnormal Pattern

Measurement of inflammation by absolute temperature methods has proved unreliable owing to the many physiological factors which affect skin blood flow and temperature. We have identified patterns of heat which are present over normal knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders, and ankles. In the presence of inflammation these patterns are altered or lost due to the abnormal skin blood flow.
