Betriebssystemkonzepte für verteilte Datenbanksysteme

Existierende Betriebssysteme in Rechnernetzen bieten fur die Implementierung verteilter Datenbanksysteme meist nur sehr unzureichende Funktionen an. Die angebotenen Dienste unterstutzen meist lediglich den Transport von Nachrichten zwischen den Rechnern. Es wird daher vorgeschlagenen, Betriebssysteme um einige zusatzliche Mechanismen zu erweitern. Auf Grund ihrer Allgemeinheit sind diese Mechanismen teilweise auch zur Unterstutzung der verteilten Verarbeitung in anderen Anwendungssystemen geeignet.
