Position Sensorless Direct Torque Control of Synchronous Reluctance with Permanent Magnet Motor

This paper introduces the structure of synchronous reluctance with permanent magnet (SR-PM) motor and its principle of direct torque control (DTC), especially focuses on characters of DTC in SR-PM motor. Then the (position/speed) sensorless strategy of SR-PM motor is studied. The key point of sensorless control is estimating the torque angle delta precisely. This paper presents two different compensating methods and simulates the results, and proves that they can achieve sensorless DTC when feedback is sent to the position and speed loop, both in speed control and position control
