A Study of the Relation Between Asiatic Migratory Locust and Meteorological Factors

This paper analyzed the wind direction and speed in July and August from 1994 to 2004 and migratory locust migration time,the monthly average temperature and monthly precipitation from winter to summer in 1971-2004, the first snow depth(≤3cm) in late winter,the month average relative humidity from April to August last 10 years in Jimunai area.The meteorological factors related to Asiatic migratory locust migrating,locust's eggs live through the winter,incubation and multiplication were researched.Results indicated that the climate variety of Jimunai since 1990' was fit for incubation and multiplication of the Asiatic migratory locust.
