Analysis of the EMI impact of an array of wind generators on the performances of secondary surveillance radar system

The purpose of this work is to illustrate the potential EMI effects of operating wind turbines on radar systems and to discuss the numerical modelling and the analysis of these effects in the specific case of a real scenario where an array of wind turbines, placed on a crest of mountain can eventually interfere with the correct functioning of a secondary surveillance radar system for air traffic control. The potential electromagnetic interferences are investigated either on the uplink segment and the downlink one.
