Interrupted Sampling Repeater Jamming Suppression Method based on Hybrid Modulated Radar Signal

By repeatedly intercepting and transmitting radar signals, an interrupted sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) can form a large number of false targets, posing a great threat to modern radar systems. Aiming at the interrupted sampling processes of ISRJ, an FSK/PSK hybrid modulated signal based jamming detection and suppression method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the sub-pulse compression method is introduced and the jamming effect with different parameters is qualitatively analyzed. Then, on the premise that only part of the sub-pulses are intercepted, the difference of sub-pulse compression results between target echo and ISRJ signal is deduced. On this basis, the M/N decision is introduced to detect and suppress the jamming. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified with simulation.
