Morpho-quantitative and qualitative characteristics of eyebright wild accessions.

The morpho-quantitative and qualitative characteristics of seven wild eyebright (Euphrasia rostkoviana subsp. rostkoviana) accessions, collected in August 2007 in Trentino (Italy), were recorded. The non parametric univariate analysis revealed a significant variation among the accessions both in the morpho-quantitative and in qualitative characteristics. Some accessions showed interesting productive and qualitative parameters such as: n° 7 for plant height (21.8 cm), plant dry weight (0.60 g) and aucubin content (28 mg/g); n° 1 for productive parameters, n° 6 and n° 2 specifically for qualitative characteristics (20 and 16 mg/g of aucubin respectively).
