Accelerate Rendering of the Presentation Tier in Front Banking Systems

In the practice of building a front banking system, to make a full separation of business and presentation logics, XML and XSLT techniques are used. We have designed a technique to flatten out XML hierarchy of banking transaction messages to simplify XSLT transformation, which speedups HTML page generations. The novelty of the technique lies in that the hierarchy of XML data, which explicitly describes semantic relationship of the data, is expressed implicitly by concatenating XML element names. The simple yet effective technique can cope with high dimension data of front banking application. A hashing based lightweight XSLT transformer is used to accelerate web page generation. The experiment results show that the system achieves a performance improvement of about 17.67 % over the old system.
