On Knowledge Service in University Libraries

The application of the knowledge service in university library is essential in the society of knowledge-based economy.It is also the power source of the achievement of sustainable development and it is the extension and development of the basic function in library as well.Through the mining,construction,development and application of knowledge,the performance and efficiency of knowledge can be realized maximally.The implication of knowledge service in university library should provide quality services for teaching,scientific research projects focus on the provision of SDI,for the leader to provide personalized services.The librarians are supposed to skillfully make use of the new technology,such as the computer network,and master the ability of navigation of knowledge.Therefore,the transfer from a general worker in library to a new knowledge one can be achieved,which can meet the requirements for the librarians to adapt network environment.
