The Application of Three-dimensional Optimization in IC Power Turbine Design

An IC power turbine was optimized and redesigned by using full 3D optimization design technique.On the basic of one-dimension and S2 stream surface optimization technique,multistage local optimization was adopted to further improve overall performance.Genetic algorithm and artificial neural network were jointly adopted for local optimization of each cascade.Full 3D viscosity N-S equation solver was applied for flow computation.Through the optimization design,the distribution of stage load coefficient in every stage was changed so as to improve the performance of each cascade.As a result,the total efficiency increased 1%.
