국내실버타운의 활성화를 위한 노인구매층의 실버타운 내적 환경에 관한 연구

Through recognizing the potential desires of the elderly segment of Sough Korea sliver industry, this study examines the preference and distinct differences in details of the aged on the type of silver-town for the customer minded management of the silver-towns in South Korea The aged residents of main four A.L.F.(Assisted Living Facility) of South Korea such as Seoul Seniors Towers Co. Ltd, Jaesung Yudang village, Haedong Foundation Inchon Silver Town and Samsung Noble County were targeted to have an individual in-depth survey interview for deriving the sampling by the staffs of the administration office of each silver-town during the period of 3 months from 1 Aug. to 30 Oct. 2001. The results of this study show that the elderly residents in general are not much contented with their expectations but give their affirmative responses to most items of selective facilities of the silver-town. Also in particular, the future desirable type of silver-town is considered to be A.L.F. which is fully furnished more advanced medical facilities and Nursing Home service. The other hand, the management of silver-towns is recommended to recognize deeply the importance of medical service and social activities such as facilitating additional basic facilities and equipments, minimizing the residents' expenditure payments(deposit monthly payments etc.) and providing the medical service and equipments and social activities arrangements. And the management companies are requested to acknowledge the differentials of marketing strategy for the aged before and after their joining to the silver-town separately. For example, medical service and basic facilities are to be promoted before the residents entering and more benefits to the convenience facilities arrangements, banking service, legal assistance are suggested after their joining to the sliver-towns. Authors describe marketing implications for the silver-towns management.
