Vehicles Detection Based on Three-frame-difference Method and Cross-entropy Threshold Method

By considering the temporal correlation and spatial correlation of the moving vehicles image, the method combining three-frame-difference method and two-dimensional cross-entropy threshold method is used to detect the moving vehicles.Three-frame-difference method is used to detect the moving vehicles in the video image, from which difference image of gray-scale image is obtained, and two-dimensional cross-entropy threshold method is combined to make binarization of difference image.Experimental results show that the scheme can detect complete moving vehicles, and has good reliability and robustness to meet the requirements of intelligent transportation systems.
