Model of Community-Build System for Knowledge Development

The community-build system (CBS) is a system for content creation by a community operating on a dedicated engine (e.g. Wiki). The CBS demonstrated how collaborative efforts can be a powerful feature to build a massive knowledge repositories. In the paper the model of community-build system is presented. The model is focused on the knowledge-base content creation process. The editor, creator and the repository are main model's actors. Moreover, the proposed CBS model allows to calculate the performance measurements like average number of editors/creators, average on-line editors/creators time. Based on the Markovian Chain theory the dynamic aspect of repository development is analyzed as well. In addition, the presented model is interpreted in the e-learning context.
