The scientific production can be considered as an important means of communication of knowledge in the written form, since it provides the development of science, technology, opening new lines of study and research, especially in academia. This research aims at identifying the perceptions of students of Accounting UFRN on scientific production at graduation. Researches were used descriptive and qualitative literature. To collect the data, there was the random application of a questionnaire consisting of eight closed questions with a sample comprised 155 students of Accounting UFRN, and from 7, 8 and 9 periods. The results revealed that 61% of the respondents had conducted some scientific research during their undergraduate courses, 84% of students have difficulty in research activities, the greatest difficulty is in scientific writing, 73% of students said they had greater control to deal with references. It was further observed that 93% of students think it is necessary to improve the academic education of undergraduate students for the development of scientific production
